Every big success has little beginnings - Jim Rohn
It's no secret that your fate is the by-product of your daily habits. Good habits are difficult to establish but once it becomes your routine, it guarantees long term success.
Most successful people share some common habits, which leads us to believe that huge success may have a certain recipe or path.
95% of what you do in life, is the result of your daily habits - Anonymous
1- Set goals: Having a clear vision of what you want in life is critical in determining the path you want to take.
“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible” - T. Robins
The great Mohammad Ali once said, “What keeps me going is goals''. Your goals can be anything you want in life in a given period of time, set your goals along with the roadmap of actions necessary to achieve those goals, set deadlines to achieve your goals. Once you successfully achieve your goals, go ahead and celebrate and set another goal. Achieving and celebrating your goals, boost your self confidence, necessary to achieve the next bigger goal. Don’t waste your life setting only small goals.
"Without dreams and goals, there’s no living, merely existing and that is not why we are here”- Mark Twain
2- Read: All extremely successful people are avid readers. They are hungry for knowledge. Always read books that add value in your life. Reading is the nutrition of mind, whatever you feed your mind, by print media or social media, this information helps create your thoughts and your thoughts create actions and actions determine your future.
“There are worse crimes than burning books, one of them is not reading them”- Jim Rohn
3- Exercise: Working hard and working out both play an extremely important role in your success. Exercise proven to increase productivity, self esteem, self confidence, decrease stress, bring discipline and also proven to sharpen the brain function. There is no amount of wealth that can bring happiness if you are not healthy. A healthy body and a healthy mind both are crucial for higher productivity. The biggest reason most people don’t exercise is because of procrastination, and unless you kill procrastination, there is no health and prosperity.
4- Wake up early: One of the most important attributes of successful people which put them ahead in the game every day. Waking up early increases your productivity many folds, Early in the morning your mind is sharp and rested, it absorbs faster and create new thoughts and ideas with clarity. Everyone has 24 hrs in a day: you can make more money, but you can’t make more time, however, successful people are able to utilize more time just by waking up early and getting things done on or before the deadline. Most successful people use early hrs of the morning for spiritual and physical benefit, by being grateful to their creator and by exercising.
5- Discipline: Discipline is a habit, a practice and a philosophy that shapes up the way of life. If you need one thing to succeed in life, its discipline.
“Discipline is a bridge between thoughts and accomplishments”- JR
If you master this habit of self control and discipline, with the desire to accomplish big dreams, there’s hardly anything that will stop you from getting great success in life.
6- Risk takers: This is the virtue that most successful people thrive on, without taking risk in life you only live an ordinary and deprived life with lots of unfulfilled wishes and dreams. All these extraordinary entrepreneurs and leaders who brought any significant changes in this world did it by taking risks. Yes, they have failed multiple times in their quest for success, but failure only made them stronger and better. The most common reason people live an average and risk free life is because of the fear of failure. In some cultures, failure is not acceptable or allowed and they would rather live a miserable life but never face a failure in pursuit of their dreams.
“Don’t let the fear kill your dreams”
For successful people, there’s no better teacher in life than failure. Setbacks and disappointments are inevitable in life. The key thing that makes a difference between the rich and the poor is how they react when they face failure.
7- Don’t give up: Jim Rohn once said that human beings are the only life form that has this incredible ability to change the course of their life by taking actions. If you don’t like the last five years of life, you don’t have to live the next five years the same way. Life is full of surprises and obstacles, so learn how to navigate through these obstacles rather than just hoping this will sometimes go away on its own. Perseverance and discipline can ultimately change the course and put you on the path of prosperity and financial freedom.

8- Don’t waste Time: You must have heard the phrase “ Time is Money '', I disagree with that. I believe time is the most precious asset you have: you can make more money, but you can not make more time. Successful people make the best use of the fixed twenty-four hours in a day, as I previously stated. Waking up early gives you a head start in the game and you can make your day really productive. Furthermore, sleeping in everyday or even over the weekend is proven to not be healthy. You can gain more time by reducing your social media usage, reducing your usage of TV or video games, and reducing the time you spend with less productive and negative friends. Procrastination is the biggest time killer and it's time to kill procrastination. The best book I read to treat Procrastination is “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy.
9- Choose Friends Wisely: Friends play an extremely important role in our lives. If your friends are pulling you down and lack desire to do big things, it's time to dump those friends. Successful people don’t spend time with lazy and negative people. You need some good friends in your life and who you choose as your friends contribute heavily in shaping up your future.
“Show me your friends and I’ll tell you your future” - JR
Successful people believe in networking. They go to places where they have the opportunity to meet smarter people with great ambitions and big dreams. Best way to find these people is to join Mastermind groups or download the app called “Meetup”, find the common interest, and it will direct you to groups of like minded people.
“You are the average of five people you spend the most time with”- JR
10- Giving: Worldly success is not synonymous to happiness. Your ultimate goal should be happiness and fulfillment which does not come from counting your money or checking your bank balance everyday. Multiple studies have shown that having two attributes contribute heavily towards achieving real happiness and fulfillment: giving and gratefulness. Money is a very important part of success but without serving others, without making people happy, and without being grateful to your Lord, you can not achieve real happiness and peace that we all desire in this life and hereafter.
